Georgia Enterprise, Oct. 1, 1896
  Col. John R. Maddox was recently united in marriage to Mrs. Vannie Quigg. 
Both of Conyers. Rev. Mr. Bowman, of Atlanta, officiated. The bride is a 
daughter of Mr. M. B. Fowler, of Covington, and is a popular and cultured 
Christian lady. The groom is a lawyer of high standing and a gentleman of honor 
and integrity.
