B. SAYE, of Rutledge. Pink and green formed the color note of the decorations and pink roses were used as the wedding flower. The improvised altar was formed by candlesticks which were banked with ferns and smilax. An artistic arrangement of silver candelabras and white pedestals draped with smilax and topped with baskets of gorgeous Easter lilies completed the effective setting. Suspended above the altar was an equiangular mallient light of white georgette showered with maline, ribbon and orange blossoms. Mrs. W. H. KNIGHT received the guests in a harmonious blue georgette trimmed in maline of pastel shades. Misses RUBYE DAVIS and HELEN BONNER wearing pastel shades served refreshing punch from a bowl wreathed with ferns and smilax intermingled with pink rose buds. Each guest upon entering registered in the bride’s book presided over by Miss LOUISE HERREN, who was very attractive in a green outfit. Preceding the ceremony a musical program was given by Miss LUCILE SHACKLEFORD as pianist, Mr. OXFORD as violinist, and Mrs. R. W. WALLACE, soloist. The bridal party came in to Mendelssohn’s wedding march, which merged into Lohengrin’s as the bride entered. They formed a semi circle between two pedestals bearing baskets of pink rose buds. The little Misses NELLE DAVIS and EVELYN SAYE, a niece of the bride, wearing dainty frocks of pink georgette and lace, bore horseshoes holding the ribbons which formed the aisle for the bridal party. Mr. IVEY, officiating minister, preceded the attendants and was followed by Mr. LUTHER STILL, groomsman and brother to the groom and Miss LADIE SUE WALLACE, as bridesmaid. Miss WALLACE was charming in an outfit of pink and rose, carrying an arm bouquet of roses. Next came Mr. JAKE SAYE and Miss MARY STILL, relatives of the bride and groom, as groomsman and bridesmaid. Miss STILL was very pleasing in an afternoon dress of pink georgette and hat to match. Her bouquet was of roses tied with pink tulle. Miss ERNESTINE PONDER, as maid of honor, entered alone, wearing green taffeta with bouffant skirt of uneven hemline. The picture hat was a creation of pink satin with hand painted roses. Her flowers were a bouquet of pink roses tied with green tulle. The bride entered with her brother, Mr. S. R. SAYE, who gave her in marriage. The bride was a picture of rare beauty in her wedding gown of tan georgette with accessories to match. Her flowers were a showered bouquet of bride’s roses. The groom was attended by Mr. J. BERNARD MADDOX as best man. The impressive ring ceremony was performed by Rev. W. C. IVEY. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. STILL left immediately for their home in Conyers. The bride is a graduate of G. S. C. W., and a very bright young woman. Mrs. STILL is pretty and attractive and has a winning personality and is admired by a host of friends in Morgan County. Mr. STILL is a cashier of the Bank of Rockdale and a young man of marked business ability and a strong personality. He is a man of true worth who has by integrity and loyalty to his God made for himself a prestige to be appreciated.
