W. Tucker have announced the engagement of their daughter, Sadie, to Mr. Claude Benton Osborn, the wedding to take place at their home on Decatur Street, Wednesday, Feb. 24th, at 8 o’clock. No invitations will be issued. Miss Sadie is one of Conyers most popular and accomplished young ladies and her friends are numbered by her acquaintances. Mr. Osborn is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Osborn, is one of the most popular young business men of Conyers and is at present one of the leading salesman at Summers Big Busy Store. The young couple have scores of friends who wish for them happiness and prosperity in abundance in advance. Conyers Weekly Banner, February 26, 1904 A Pretty Home Wedding TUCKER-OSBORN The marriage of Mr. Claude Benton Osborn and Miss Sadie Tucker occurred at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Tucker, Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock, in the presence of a vast throng of relatives, friends and invited guests. The home was beautifully decorated and the scene was truly inspiring as the bridal party glided slowly down the winding stairway to the strains of Mendelssohn’s wedding march, as exquisitely rendered by Mrs. R. D. Hewlett. The happy pair stood beneath a beautiful arch and bell surrounded by pretty hot house plants and were made one by Rev. H. J. Ellis while Mrs. Hewlett rendered “You’ll Remember Me.” Miss Sarah Sue Langford and Miss Valera Tucker were the attendants and Little Maggie Tucker, sister of the bride, was flower girl. After the ceremony an elegant reception was enjoyed by a large number of friends of the happy couple. Mr. Osborn is a young man of rare business qualities and has scores of friends who are congratulating him and wish for a life of happiness and prosperity. The bride is a young lady of many admirable qualities and accomplishments. Her sunny disposition and considerate thoughtfulness for the happiness of her friends guarantees for the fortunate groom a happy home. Mr. and Mrs. Osborn were the recipients of many handsome presents.
