GEORGE BUCHANAN CEMETERY

Location:
Located on state Hwy. No. 26, 1.9 miles east of Courthouse on 
right side of hwy.

Highway 26 is the main road running east and west through Ellaville, GA.  The
Courthouse is on the southwest corner of the intersection of Highway 26 and
U. S. Highway 19.


George H. Buchanan 
b. September 9, 1759 in Virginia
d. July 2, 1845 in Marion Co. GA
(Revolutionary War Soldier)

Katherine  (wife of George H.)
b. between 1760 - 1770
d. between 1840 - 1845

George signed  his will on the 23rd day of June 1845 and it was proven in
the July term of court in 1845. An obituary stated that he was born in
Virginia (I do not have the date nor the name of the newspaper).
