It is on Highway 26. I believe it is before the first road on highway 26 after leaving Ellaville. There is a turn off on the South side of the highway to a dirt road going into the woods. About 300 ft is the cemetery. Trees had been blown down across the dirt road so we had to walk to the 300 ft. The Cemetery is in very poor shape. Trash had been dumped near the graves, leaves and debris were ankle deep, Many of the graves were broken with trees growing through them. This may have been a large cemetery in its day but the graves were covered with leaves. There were holes under the slabs so I was afraid of falling into a hole. There were two iron fences with gates, which were beautiful. even after all the years they have been there. There was one small plot about 10 by 10 with two large monuments and a plot about 20 by 30 ft. with some broken graves. Duncan, Gordon 15 Oct 1875 - 13 Nov 1909 (must be son of) J.M. Mott) The family story of Joseph Mott's death is: Joseph was the son of Thomas Jefferson Mott and was killed at a big family party for his 10th birthday. He was running around the house with excitement and fell, hitting his temple on a corner of the dinning table.
