Beckham of Arlington In Luck Dupree Peacock, an elderly gentleman, was buried in the old family burying ground several miles from Ellaville on Tuesday last. He was a wealthy farmer, owning some 2,500 acres of land and other property. He died leaving no children. A part of his lands were left to W.A. Beckham, of Arlington, a one-armed ex-confederate. Mr. Beckham’s grandfather Howell Gibbs, reared Peacock – took him up a needy boy and put him on his feet and the bread cast upon the waters returned to Howell Gibb’s grandson, an old soldier needing this help.
