Ravens (1794- 1866) and a daughter of William Stewart (1762-1848). See 1850 US Census Monroe County, GA, p. 47a, lines 42-43 (National Archives Series M432, Roll 78); and her obituary in Brent Holcomb's "Marriage & Death Notices from the Southern Christian Advocate Vol. 1, 1837-1860," pp. 547 & 549. RICHARD M. STEWART (1808-1850) was a brother of the before mentioned NANCY RAVENS (nee Stewart) and a son of William Stewart (1762-1848). He married his second wife, Isabella Gray, 13 Jan 1848. See 1850 US Census Marion County, GA, p. 248a, line 37 (National Archives Series M432, Roll 77); and Crawford County, GA, Marriage Bk. A, p. 4. CLARA F. MARTINTEIR (d. 1850) is actually ELIZA F. MARTINLEIR (nee Ravens), born 1817-1818, wife of George W. Martinleir and eldest child of the above mentioned David B. & Nancy (Stewart) Ravens. See 1850 US Census Monroe County, GA, p. 47a, lines 45- 46 for a listing of her husband and daughter. ELIZABETH STEWART (no dates) was the first wife of the above mentioned RICHARD M. STEWART (1808-1850). She died ca1847. MARY MULLEN (1820-1848) is unidentified but the fact she died in 1848 and has a headstone listing specific dates would indicate she almost certainly was white. Also, the William Stewart (1762-1848) mentioned above seemingly is the same listed as being buried at the William Stewart Family Cemetery 2 miles east of Ellaville, Schley County, GA (see cemetery listing immediatly after the Stewart-Ravens Family Cemetery on "your" site.) He was a Revolutionary War soldier from Amherst County, VA. ======================== USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be freely used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
