Additional Comments:
By 1968, Phillippi Church was in a state of disrepair and there were 
discussions of disbanding.  Many of the members had passed away and the others 
were quite elderly.  A number of relatives of members and former members 
contributed funds to pay for repairs such as window and door replacements as 
well as painting inside and out.  

Georgia, Schley County, Aug. 21, 1966.  "The records of Phillippi Church were 
turned over to Clara Robinson with only 4 members including herself."

The last entry in the minutes book was March 14, 1971.  Clara Robinson, the 
last church clerk died Aug. 31, 1974 and Forrest McMickle Cook (Mrs. Tom Cook) 
died Jan. 13, 1975 at age 84.
