In memory of Sister Drew Our beloved Sister at the ripe age of 52 years old was called from earth to her last reward, June 19th, 1909. Mrs. Drew (nee Ingram) was born July 4th, 1857, was married to John J. Drew, May 23, 1880. She and her husband and family came from Webster County some 5 or 6 years ago to Schley County. She has been for about 5 years a member of Ebenezer church and a useful one, though in her last days of feeble health she was not able to attend and do for the Lord as it was her former delight. She were always willing to give to the Lord’s cause and was a great pleasure to her to visit the sick and needy. She bore her last illness with patience and died triumphantly in a living faith. She leaves 3 daughters and 3 sons and 5 step-children and a host of friends to mourn her loss. Therefore, be it resolved: 1st that in the death of our beloved sister, the church sustains the loss of one its truest members, and the family, a affectionate mother, the community, a most splendid member. 2nd that we tender our deepest sympathy to the bereaved family and pray God’s richest blessings to abide with them. 3rd that a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the church record and a copy sent to the bereaved family and that suitable mentions of her death be sent to the Schley County News and Christian Index for publication.
