August 18, 1898 Ebenezer Baptis church met in conference. First open the doors of the church. Being our regular time of calling preachers was continued til Sunday. The committee on the church proffery(?) were dismissed. Now un- christian conduct (unreadable). The church went into election of delegates to association. Elected the following: Brother J.S. Womack, R.M. Rainey, A.M. Caskey and W.C. Kelly, Baly Reue(?), C.C. Bivins. Conference adjourned on til Sunday. S.T. Smith Mod. Protem A.M. Caskey, Clk. August 14(?) 1898 (shud be 24th) Ebenezer Baptist church met in conference for the purpose of electing preacher for the year 1899. Moved and seconded that L(?) Griffin be elected by acclamation, which was carried without dissentiing vote. Appointed a committee to notify him of his election. R.M. Rainey, A.M. Caskey. There being no business to bring before the conference, adjourned. Joseph Sears, Mod. Protem A.M. Caskey, Clk. Sept. 10, 1898 Ebenezer Baptis church met in conference. First open the doors of the church, invited visiting brethren to sit with us. Called for any acknowledgements. Brother Dayce(?) stated to the church the reason why he was not at the last conference. This report was received and forgiven. The committee that was appointed to wait on the preacher of his election and answer from him that he would serve the church if he was able. The committee was excused. Call for miscellaneous business, none. The former minutes was read and approved except for the report on the sallis(?) of the preacher. No other business being before the conference, adjourned. C.D. Carter, Mod Protem A.M. Caskey, clk. Oct 8, 1898 Ebenezer Baptis church met in conference. First open the doors of the church & invited visiting brethren to sit with us. Call for any acknowledgements, any un-christian conduct. Any Miscellaneous business. Brother J.S. Womack reported the case of Sister Luecindary Clements. Case to the church to be restored to full fellowship, and granted her a letter. No other business being before the conference, adjourned. R.M. Rainey Mod Protem A.M. Caskey, clk. Oct. 9, 1898 Ebenezer Baptis chuerch met in conference and granted Brother Ben Rainey a letter. No other business being before the conference, adjourned. C.D. Caskey, Mod protem A.M. Caskey, clk. Nov. 12, 1898 Ebenezer Baptis Church met in conference. Invited visiting brethren to sit with us. Called for any acknowledgments. Called for anyhting that comes under the heading of un-christian conduct. Called for any miscellaneous business. Brother R.M. Rainey moved that a committee be appointed to draft some resolution of T.J. (unreadable), deceased. Appointed J.S. Womack, A.T. Hart, J.J. Owens.
