SCHLEY COUNTY, GA - CHURCHES Phillippi Primitive Baptist Church Membership (ca 1850-1870) ***************** Copyright. All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm *********************** This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Harris Hill http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00011.html#0002514 (Transcriber's note: What follows appears to be a series of undated membership lists. While there appear to be very few dates here, except the occasional notation of a death, etc., it would seem these several lists are at the very end of book one. The 1835 and 1844 lists were in the front of Book 1. It is supposition on my part, but I believe the later membership lists were kept in the rear of this book and were updated periodically. We can determine from the names appearing here that these lists probably date to the late 1850's, 1860's and mid 1870's. Those lists are presented here and it would seem the order is most recent to least recent with the exception of the seventh list which is 1871 and looks to have been written on the inside of the cover. The second book of minutes begins with similar lists that would appear to be the 1880's and 90's. Having said all of this, I present the lists in the same order and as nearly as possible to the way they appear in this book. I hope you find someone you know here. I did. H.H.Hill was my great grandfather and this is the only reference I have ever found connecting him to a church.) Source material: microfilmed copies of the original found in the Ellaville library.
