Document, Schley Co. Courthouse Written: March 3, 1883 STATE OF GEORGIA SCHLEY COUNTY To the Honorable Superior Court of Said County The petition of Richard F. Wiggins respectfully shows that Mary E. Hart of said county is in possession of certain personal property to wit: one hundred bushels of corn of the value of seventy-five dollars, (100) bushels of oats of the value of seventy five dollars, (40) forty bushels of peas of the value of thirty two dollars, (1,000) one thousand bushels of cotton seed of the value of $150.00 one hundred fifty dollars, (1) one bale of seed cotton of the value of fifty dollars, (15) fifteen head of hogs known as common stock hogs being all on the Hart Mill place of the value of $100.00 one hundred dollars, 15 head of geese of the value ($15) fifteen dollars, (75) seventy five head of chickens value $15.00, two mattresses value $40.00, 1 corn sheller $15.00, 1 set of Giro Gear value $50.00 fifty dollars, (60) sixty saw gin & feeder & gin belt-value $325.00, 1 wagon value $50.00, 1 log cant-value $25.00, (2,000) feet of lumber value 100.00, 1 set of blacksmith tools value $30.00, 3,000 stalks of sugar cane $30.00 in value, 3000 shingles value $7.00, contents of dairy-coffee, sugar, preserves $20.00, Brick & rock $20.00, aggregating in value the sum of ($1214.00) twelve hundred and fourteen dollars all said property being upon the Hart Mill place and taken possession of by said Mary E. Hart to which your petitioner claims title, that the said M.E. Hart refuses to deliver the said property to your petitioner or to pay him the profits thereof, to wit: the sum of $150.00 one hundred & fifty dollars per annum. Wherefore your petitioner prays process may issue directed to the said M.E. Hart to be and appear at the next term of Superior court of said Co. to answer your petitioner’s complaint.
