Bernhards --------------------------------------------------------------- Richmond, Decr 31, 1862 Personally appeared before me, a Quarter Master of the CSA, F. M. Mott, Sergt., Co. B, 17 Regt. Ga. Vols, and made oath that he is without a descriptive roll or final statement, which it is impossible to obtain from his commanding officer, for the reason that his company in now near Fredericksburg that the within account, amounting to forty dollars is correct; that he is not is debt to the Confederate States, and that he will present a statement of this payment to his Commanding Officer. B., 17th GA Regt.) Private F(rancis) M. Mott was born in Macon County Georgia, was enlisted at Ellaville state of Georgia on the 14th of August 1861 to serve during the war. He was last paid by QRM at Columbus Georgia to include the 30th day of April 1863. He was Ordaly Sergt up to 31st March 1864, and is entitled to Ordaly Sergt pay to that time making (11) eleven months and from that time a private pay up to the present. He is entitled to commetation for clothing from 7th of November 1863. And to the Bounty of one hundred dollars for rest being absent without leave for six months from the 1st day of April 1864. He is due the Confederate rates for clothing issued to him the sum of $61. dollars and is Just returned from hospital. I certify that the above final Statement is correct in every particular.
