Burton's Resignation Recd A.F(?) P.G.O. Dliv 14 1861 Hd. Qrs. Army of Pensacola near Pensacola, Fla. 8th December, 1861 Special Orders No. 302 I. The resignation of Captain Robert Burton, Fifth Regiment of Georgia Volunteers is accepted to take effect on this date and Captain Burton is honorably discharged from the service of the Confederate States. II. Privates Perry Sanders(?) and Alfred Bennett, of company "F", Fifth Regiment of Alabama Volunteers, having been guilty of the degrading crime of ?? rendering them unfit associates for the men of their company, and unworthy of the flag they would disgrace, are dishonorably discharged from the service of the Confederate States, and will be ????? from the lines of the Army. III. Leave of absence is hereby granted to the following officers for the periods set opposite their respective names. Capt. E.H. Pottle, 5th Reg. Ga. Vols. Fifteen days; 2nd Lieut. J.B.
