BATTLE, ORDINARY TERMS OF COURT 1ST MONDAY IN EACH MONTH ELLAVILLE, GEROGIA 1-23-56 Miss Lillian Henderson 404 State Capitol Atlanta, Georgia Dear Miss Henderson: Mrs. Ida Williams of Ellaville, Georgia, who was a Confederate pensioner died on January 10, 1956. She was very active until the last few days and will be missed in the community. Have enjoyed working with you and would be happy to have you drop by to see me. Yours very truly, (Miss) Mary D. Battle Additional Comments: Does anyone know who Ida Williams' husband was? She is buried in Ellaville Cemetery, however our transcription of the marker gives year of death as 1955, probably a transcription error. These documents would indicate that she was the very last Confederate pensioner in Schley county as they closed the books with her death. Who was her husband?
