Perry aged 81 years a resident of Schley County State of Georgia who being duly sworn according to law declared that he is married, that his wifes name was Honor Parker to whom he was married at "Old Ridge" South Carolina on the 20th day of December 1815 that he served the full period of sixty days in the Military service of the United States in the War of 1812: that he is the identical Reddick B Perry who was enrolled in Captain Cheetham company of Colonel Carters Regiment. Brigade & Division not recollected at Edgefield C.H. South Carolina on or about the 18th day of December 1812 and was honorably discharged at Sheldon South Carolina on or about the 18th day of March 1813. That he was a private in the infantry, and that he had a discharge signed by Adjutant Swilling but the same has been lost or mislaid. That he at no time during the Rebellion against the authority of the United States, adhered to the cause of the enemies of the Government, giving them aid (On the outside of the application, there is a note that reads as follows) Oct 29 1878 (?) J.H. Cherry Ellaville Geor as pensioner died leaving a widow cannot pay (?) under (?) 4718 R.S. pension (?) is widow see letter inside (NOTE: Reddick's first wife mentioned in this application, Honor Parker Perry died prior to him.
