At the residence of the bride's uncle Mr. P. S. Stevens, on the evening of the 24th inst. at Putnam, Mr. Albert Wall, of Schley, and Miss Jessie Stevens were united in the bonds of matrimony, Rev. R. F. Williamson officiating. The bride is a beautiful and interesting young lady, eminently possessing all the requisites and accomplishments of the daughters of our new south. The groom is a thorough going young farmer, whose business talents have made him remarkably successful, and promise better results for the future. A number of friends were present from Ellaville, Buena Vista, and this place, to extend their congratulations and to help celebrate the happy event. After the ceremony the large concourse of friends were invited to the capacious dining room, where they were served with substantials and delicacies that the most fastidious could not fall to relish, but which were the most expert pen artist must fail to picture. But suffice it, that the legends of traditions oft painted such boards for the assemblages of the gods and fairies. Among the presents were: Silver knives, Lou Arrington; silver forks, Claud Dixon; China set, Mr. and Mrs. and Maud Williamson; silver butterdish, J. M. Livingston; silver syrup pitcher, Mrs. Anna Wooten; vases, Mrs. Hampton Stevens; vases, Miss Nettie Rodgers; nut bowl, Mrs. Roy Bass; vases, Wm. Wooten; toilet stand, Miss Anna Wooten; cologne, Bessie Wooten; vases Mable Wiggins; pin cushion, Mrs. M. R.
