A said accident we learn that Henry Vanden Berg, son of our
Fellow citizen, T.H. Vanden Berg, was shot and killed at
Ellaville, Ga. about the 7th of this month by Dr. Bivins.
It appears that young Vanden Berg was on a visit to Dr.
Bivins, and that the Doctor was examining an old pistol when
it accidently went off and the contents took affect in the
abdomen of the youth which caused his death the next day.

Many thanks- Dr. R.T. Bivins, will please accept our
grateful thanks for substantial favors, such as a hungry
editor can appreciate. Dr Bivins is a sucessful practioner,
and one of our most propserous farmers.  The back bones,
spare ribs and sausage was quite an aquisition to  our
limited larder. Thanks again Dr. and may you live long and
prosper.

Married At the residence of Mr. Thomas Threlkeld, on Tuesday
afternoon, the 15th inst. by Rev. W.W. Tidwell, Mr. William
Bivins, and Mrs. C.H. Varner, widow of the late Judge
Varner.  All of Schley County.
