Vanden Berg, was shot and killed at Ellaville, Ga. about the 7th of this month by Dr. Bivins. It appears that young Vanden Berg was on a visit to Dr. Bivins, and that the Doctor was examining an old pistol when it accidently went off and the contents took affect in the abdomen of the youth which caused his death the next day. Dr Bivins is a sucessful practioner, and one of our most propserous farmers. The back bones, spare ribs and sausage was quite an aquisition to our limited larder.
