Slappey, at Shellman, returned home last Thursday. Mr. Arthur Devane, who has been at home for the last two weeks on account of mumps, returned to the Agricultural College at Americus last Thursday. Miss Nettylee Williams, of Buena Vista, is the charming guest of her sister, Mrs. Dr. Jordan. Miss Myrtle Sanborn, of Americus, who has been the guest of Miss Lucile Lindsay, returned home Thursday. Miss Katie Will McNeil, of Buena Vista, is the charming guest of Miss Evelyn Stokes. Mr. Adolphus Battle, of Talbotton, visited relatives here last week. Prof. and Mrs. H.I. Pool have gone to Richland where Prof. Poll has accepted a position. Messrs. H. Willis Hogg and Harry F. Dixon took an automobile spin down to Americus Friday returning on the 3:30 train. Mr. T.T. Ragland, of Talbotton, was a visitor here this week. Miss Belle Berry, of Bronwood, is the guest of Mrs. T.V. Bridges. Mr. S.N. Callier, of Thomaston, is visiting Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Strange. Miss Berner Green, of Americus, came up Friday to be the guest of Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Woods. Mrs. T.J. Livingston and Mrs. S.B. Fulford, who have been visiting relatives in Columbus, returned home Sunday. Mr. E.R. Jordan went up to Buena Vista Sunday. Miss Maggie Buckhannen, of Americus, was the guest of Mrs. C.B. Johnson this week. Mrs. R.S. Greene, of Albany, is visiting parents at Andrew Chapel this week. Dr. H. Peacock, of Opelika, was with his sister, Mrs. J.C. Rainey, last week. Miss Smith, of Talbotton, spent last week with Mrs. A.S. Bangle. Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Strange, of Doerun, attended the funeral of their grandmother, Mrs. Strange, here last Thursday. Mr. G.W. Burts, the Buena Vista cotton buyer, returned home Saturday. Prof. S.D. Rickenbaker and wife were in Americus Saturday. Mrs. R.M. Murphy is visiting her sister, Mrs. J.D. McFail, of Columbus. Col. J.H. Cheney was in Oglethorpe Tuesday. Mrs. S.C. Collins went down to Americus Sunday to be the guest of relatives. Col. and Mrs. J.R. Williams, of Americus, were in Ellaville Wednesday the guest of friends. Col. C.R. McCrory, W.C. Stewart, E.B. Barrow and J.H. Sellars attended court at Buena Vista Tuesday. Mrs. W.H. Collins is the guest of her mother, Mrs. R.F. Tison, of Buena Vista. Miss Lucile Lindsay is the guest of Mrs. H.D. Chapman, of Macon. Mrs. C.A. Norton and Mrs. J.N. Hudson were delegates to the Women’s Foreign Mission at Macon Friday. Miss Mamie Freeman was the guest of Columbus friends this week. Duncan, returned home Saturday. Col. A.J. Waters made a business trip to Columbus Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. W.Z. Burt, of Buena Vista, spent Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Burt. Mrs. Fannie Cheney and little son, Joseph, left for Atlanta Wednesday where they will be the guests of relatives. Hon. Dudley M. Hughes, candidate for Congress, was in Ellaville last week shaking hands with his many friends here. Miss Luella Woods, of Rochelle, has accepted the position of primary teacher here. She has many friends here who will welcome her back. Mc. C.C. McCrary left Saturday for Macon, where he will be the guest of his sister, Miss Anna Bell McCrary. Miss Lillie Shirley, who has been the guest of her aunt, Mrs. J.F. Woods, returned to her home in White Oak, Ala., Saturday. Miss Shirley made many friends here who regretted very much to see her leave. Mr. and Mrs. Walter McCook and Miss Carrie Lou McCook, of Columbus, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Williams on Sunday. Mr. Preston McCrary, of Columbus, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. C.R. McCrary Sunday. Miss Ruth Wall, of Americus, spent Saturday and Sunday with parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Wall. The Concert given at the Auditorium on last Friday night was indeed a success and was enjoyed by a large and appreciative audience. Mr. P.Z. Jordan and Arthur Murray went up to Columbus last week. Hon. and Mrs. W.D. Murray and Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Royal and Col. A.J. Walters are on a fishing trip at Milltown. Mr. J.F. Woods was in Americus Wednesday of last week. Mr. E.B. Barrow went over to Marshallville Saturday on business. Mr. Dozier Pou, of Columbus, was in Ellaville last week. Mr. J.E. Stewart came up in his auto Saturday to be with Ellaville friends. Mr. Hudson Burt, of Buena Vista, was in Ellaville Tuesday. Mrs. J.C. Rainey spent last week in Upatoie the guest of her uncle. A.A. Arrington was in Americus Wednesday. Rev. C.D. Carter, who has been attending the Theological Baptist Seminary at Louisville, Ky., returned home last week. Mr. R.E.L. Eason left Monday for Savannah to attend the Grand Lodge K. of P. Rev. J.M. Murray has been over in Alabama the last two weeks. Miss Julia Peacock went over to Cordele last Saturday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Chas. Kilhan. Mrs. Dr. Lightner and Miss Imogene Sears went down to Americus Friday. Mrs. R.E.L. Eason and daughter, Miss Flossie, attended the commencement at the Agricultural College in Americus this week. Mr. M.B. Dunn returned home Tuesday from Worth County. Dr. B.L. Bridges spent a few days of last week in Atlanta. Miss Mary Lightner is visiting relatives in Worth County. Dr. H.S. Munro went up to Atlanta last week. Mr. Robert Stokes went to Americus last Tuesday evening.
