SOUTHERN RECORDER, Milledgeville July 20, 1852
VALUABLE PLANTATION FOR SALE	
The subscriber offers for sale his plantation, situated in Sumter county, 
containing 725 acres of good oak, hickory and pine land, 300 acres cleared and 
in a high state of cultivation--well watered.  Also, a quantity of swamp or 
bottom lands, ditched and dried.  There is a good dwelling-house, Gin and 
Packing Screw, and all other necessary out-buildings.  The lands are 
considered as among the best for cotton and corn growing.  The plantation is 
situated on the public road known as the lower Lumpkin road to Oglethorpe, and 
14 miles southwest of that place, one of the finest cotton markets in the 
south.  It will be sold on very reasonable terms.
