Ellaville, Ga., March 5.--Red Oliver and John Willis broke jail last night and escaped. The cells of the jail, and and in fact the building, was built by the Panly Jail Company, of St. Louis, and this county paid them $5,600 for the same, but it seems as if the iron bars were broken as easily as could be. The cross bars were broken off and the long bars pried apart and off they went. They were in jail for burglary. Berry Meeks, who has just been refused a new trial by the supreme court, refused to go. He is sentenced to the penitentiary for two years for arson.
