Miss Ruth Ammer and Mr. Arthur Dillard attended the picnic at Hardridge's Ford last Saturday and report plenty of dinner and many drinks sold. It was attended by many from Schley. Messrs. Garnett and Willie Tidd, of Ellaville, were in attendance at the picnic. Mr. Allen Dillard and little daughter, Lizzie, attended preaching at Philipy last Sunday. Miss Jesse Johnson is spending a week with Miss Lella Blackstone, of Schley. Mrs. Susie Blackstone, of Schley, visited her father last Saturday night. Mr. John Goodroe called on Miss Clara Dillard Sunday afternoon. The little black mule is often seen tied at the corner. Preaching at Philipy every first Saturday and Sunday. Many eggs were in the grass and hidden about, and the children enjoyed the hunt fine. Little Blanche Johnson found nine eggs and won the prize. Mr. Jasper Dillard and family visited their daughter, Mrs. Jordan, last Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Johnson visited their parents last Saturday and Sunday. Miss Leila Blaxton was the guest of Misses Johnson last week. Miss Ruth Dillard visited the home of Mr. Ridge Hogg last Monday. Messrs. Emmet Helms and Tommie McCorkle were the guest of Misses Ruth and Annie Dillard Sunday. Miss Ruth Dillard, who has been suffering with pneumonia, is up again. Little Miss Daisy Singleton is visiting Miss Lizzie Ree Dillard. Mrs. Bud Jordan and Miss Annie Moore, of Buena Vista, visited Mr. Jasper Dillard last Sunday. Messrs. Jim Blas, Tom Cook, Tom Melton and Arthur Dillard were the guests of Mr. Allen Dillard last Sunday afternoon. Messrs. Emmett Helms and Tommie McCorkle, of near Tazewell, called on two of our girls last Sunday. Miss Leesar Miles, of Fort Perry, who has been visiting Uncle Billie Pool, was the guest of Mr. Allen Dillard. Mr. Bud Jordan gave an entertainment last Monday night in honor of our schoolteacher, Miss Annie Moore, of Buena Vista. Quite a large crowd was present and all report a fine time. There will be a concert at Dundee the 26 of March. Everybody invited. Mr. Molton Sheet, of Fort Perry, spent Saturday night at the home of Mr. Allen Dillard. Mr. Howell Dillard and wife visited his wife's mother last Sunday. The little baby of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Dillard was laid to rest at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery on Saturday, Feb. 13, after an illness of some five or six days. The little one was born Jan. 12, living only three weeks and two days, when God called it from its father and mother. Little Miss Mauddie Singleton returned home Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Georgia and Mr. Wily Tidd, of Ellaville, visited Mr. Tugg Goodroe last Saturday and Sunday. Little Miss Daisy Singleton is visiting Miss Lizzie Ree Dillard this week. Mr. Cook, of Schley, was seen breaking his young mule last Saturday. Miss Lessar Miles, of near Ft. Perry, is visiting her grandmother. Messrs. Willie Goodroe, Wily Tidd, Tommie Melton, Jimmie Walls, Arthur and Oscar Singleton were the guests of Mr. Allen Dillard last Sunday. Miss Lela Blackston, of near Tazewell, visited the Misses Johnson last week. Misses Clara and Ruth Dillard were the guests of Miss Ethel Goodroe last Sunday afternoon. All went a sweet gum hunting. Misses Clifford and Ella Benson, Messrs. Walter Garrett and Tom Shunagan visited Mr. Tom Gurnagan last Sunday. Mr. Arthur Dillard was the guest of Mr. Allen Dillard last Saturday night. Misses Ruth, Anna and Lizzie Ree Dillard and Maudie Singleton visited Mrs. Frank Dillard last Friday. Mr. Henry Moulton and wife visited Mr. Dave McMickle last week. Misses Lizzie and Edgar Melton, of Tazewell, visited Miss Lora McMickel last Sunday. Mr. Joe Goodroe was the guest of Mr. Allen Dillard last Saturday night. Miss Lucy Baldwin has returned home from Columbus after a pleasant visit in that city. Miss Annibal McCrary has returned home from Florida. Messrs. H.J. Williams, R.E. Hill, C.R. McCrary and Asa Royal spent several days last week at Cedar Creek fishing. Miss Kattie Walker visited her father at Albany last week. Mrs. H.J. Williams was shopping in Americus this week. There is considerable sickness in this community. Mrs. Jasper Dillard is improving from a spell of sickness. Messrs. Oscar Singleton and Thomas Amos, of near Tazewell, visited at the home of Mr. Allen Dillard Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Hanner and children, of Draneville, spent Sunday with his father here. Mrs. Marieanne Johnson spent Sunday with her son, Jake Johnson, near Ellaville. We are glad to note the recover of Mrs. Carrie Adams from a spell of sickness. Mr. Billie Poole is very sick at this writing. Mr. James Johnson while plowing last Monday killed a rattlesnake six feet long with fourteen rattles and a button. Misses Clifford and Ella Benson, visited their grandmother, Mrs. Welch, at Tazewell this week. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hanner visited their parents near Ellaville Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. Carrie Adams visited her sick father Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. Marieanne Johnson was called to the bedside of her granddaughter Wednesday, who is very sick with slow fever. Messrs. Miss Verna Hamilton, of Fort Perry, is visiting the Misses Dillard this week. Messrs. Walter and Hinton Mathis, of Americus, visited Mr. Allen Dillard last Friday night. Mrs. Maud Cook, of Macon, is visiting her parents near Ellaville. Mr. Pure Moulton is all smiles over the arrival of a fine boy at his home. Miss Ruth Dillard has returned home from a visit of ten days with her sister and brother near Tazewell. Mr. Joe Goodroe called on his best girl at the corner Sunday night. The little child of Cliff Harris, of near Ellaville, was laid to rest at Mt. Pisgah cemetery last Friday. Miss Verna Hamilton returned to her home at Fort Perry Friday, after a pleasant visit here. Miss Clara Dillard spent Thursday night with her sister near Tazewell. Messrs. Arthur Dillard and Ben Fussell and Misses Ruth and Amy Dillard attended preaching at Corinth last Saturday and Sunday. Miss Mary Lizzie Sorrell, of near Ellaville, and Miss Julia Hart, of near Doyle, went to Columbus Saturday. The wind and rain did much damage to the crops the 12th.
