The Schley County News  Thursday, July 18, 1889

Mr. George Massey collided with a meal car at Murray's mill last week and 
fractured a bone in his left leg.  As Ellaville is a "dry" town, we presume the 
car was perfectly sober and the accident was the result of darkness.  We hope 
to see Mr. Massey out soon without his crutches.
