Being called professionally to Schley County the
latter part of last week, it was our good fortune to
spend Friday night last with our old friend, Mr. Eli
Stewart, and we now return our thanks to our friend
and his good lady for the hospitality which they
extended to us. It reminded us of the time years ago
when the word meant much more than it does now. If
our friend is not a happy man he must indeed be hard
to satisfy. With every convenience and comfort for
which country homes have been noted, and with an
interesting family worthy of their pleasant
surroundings, we cannot doubt that our old friend
enjoys life. However this may be we proved by
experience that he knows how to make his friends
experience a delightful time when they visit him at
his pleasant home. Long may he and his live, and
dispense the lavish hospitality that they know so
well to extend.
