Pilcher better known as “Coot,” will hereafter be called Mr. Pilcher. He has discovered a large hill of quartz bearing gold on his place ten miles from Americus on the Sumter and Schley line. He has had experts to examine some of it and they pronounce it as fine as the world can produce and “Coot” is thinking of putting Pilcher’s name up with Gould, Vanderbilt, Flood and that ilk.
