The Atlanta Constitution  August 1, 1886

THE OLD BOARD RE-ELECTED

Ellaville Ga., July 31--(Special)--At a meeting of the stockholders of the 
Buena Vista and Ellaville railroad, the old board was re-elected, to wit:  
James M. Lowe, Thomas Harvery (Harvey?), W.M. Williams, Joe S. Rodgers, R.E. 
Clemens, Malcom Hair, E.S. Baldwin, C.L. Peacock, Dupre Peacock, J.R. 
McMichael, J.A. Parks, J.N. Cheney, W.D. Murray.  The meeting was harmonious.  
The report of the treasurer showed that it was in a prosperous condition.  The 
report will be published in pamphlet form.  This is one of the best feeders of 
the Central system.  It has been in operation two years and not an accident 
has occurred.  It is our pet and pride.

J. A. Parks
Dr. Josiah Andrew Park, M.D. (b) 1828 Walton Co., GA,
(d) 7 Sept 1896 Sumter Co., GA. (home of his daughter
Mrs E. J. Stokes)  Son of Dr. William Thomas Park Jr.
and Mazy Dent Rees.  Married 29 Jun 1848 Marion Co.,
GA, Martha Powell .  Parents of 5 children, one was
Farmer Albert Park 1851-1932, Married Emma Josephine
Mott, 1855 Schley Co. - 1897 Schley Co., daughter of
Joseph E. Mott and Sarah Eubanks . 

Confederate
records show Josiah A. Park as a first lieutenant in
Company D of the 2nd GA Cavalry Regiment.  He served
until Dec. 1863, at Murfreesboro, TN, when he resigned
his commission and returned home  (Marion Co. GA) to
practice medicine. 1877 he appears in Schley Co., GA
Tax list in 882nd GMD
