ALL AROUND TOWN by Marion Jones
........The old stately oak that stands at the corner of 1G# and Oglethorpe 
Street brings back memories to me as it was there in the early days of our 
town when the old Peacock Hotel stood nearby.

How many of you remember Dr. Willie Sears?  The 1800 doctor had his office 
where Mr. Giddens' home is located today.  Doc could blow a harp (mouth organ) 
like, "Sally in the Wildwood," he also wore galoshers in dry weather.

The Wilbur Justice home is taking on a new coat of paint, a brownish brown and 
is looking nice at this writing.  Yours truly, (that's me) painted the house 
for Mr. Sam Miles just after World War II...................
