10 YEARS AGO (1931)
J.W. Yates, deputy warden of Stewart County, was held in Schley county jail 
charged with the fatal shooting Sunday, June 21, of Zach Aileywine, former 
Schley county convict guard.  Aileywine was found shot to death just off the 
Ellaville-Oglethorpe highway about three miles from Ellaville.
