ALLEN DIES OF FALL INJURIES B.F. Allen, 53, well-known lumberman and carpenter residing in Ebenezer community, died at Prather Clinic, Americus, Wednesday night at 9 o'clock of a broken back suffered in a fall August 24th. Mr. Allen had been in a critical condition since falling from a barn on which he was working, landing on his feet after a 12-foot fall. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Ebenezer Baptist church, which he had served for many years. Mr. Allen was known for his piety, took a leading part in church activities and was a teacher in the Sunday school. Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Mildred Jones, of Schley county; five children by his first marriage and four by his second. Children include: Sgt. Henry C. Allen, of the U.S. Army; Mrs. Z.T. Tyler, Draneville; Ray Lee, Martha, Max and Loie Bell Allen.
