Schley County Department

A. Askew of Schley County, died on Saturday, April 30th, aged 82 years.  He was 
the grandfather of the Dixon brothers of Ellaville.  Was for many years 
treasurer of the county and served the people creditably.  Mrs. Dixon, his only 
child, who married Freeman Dixon, has lived in the house with her parents all 
her life and has raised a family of five boys, all of whom are grown and are 
battling with the world in behalf of themselves.
