JOHN BARFIELD DIES IN MIAMI
Funeral services were held at Prosperity Primitive Baptist church in Taylor 
county Wednesday afternoon for John E. Barfield, 70, who died Sunday in a 
Miami hospital after a lingering illness.  A retired carpenter, Mr. Barfield 
moved to Florida 19 years ago from Ideal, Ga.  He was a member of the 
Primitive Baptist church.  Elder M.A. Hall of Arabi officiated at the 
funeral.  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Frances Barfield, Miami; a 
daughter, Mrs. Robert Alford, Miami; a brother Tom Barfield, Taylor county.  
Pallbearers were Jason Elliston, Joe Harmon, Don Smith, Fred Rustin, Jack 
McCorkle, and Rand Cooper.
