Midway, GA--Roland A. Brooks, age 69, of Midway, GA died Friday, May 16, 2003 
at Midway Health Care Center after a long illness.  A graveside service was 
held Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at 1:00 in the Ellaville Cemetery.  Reverend Mark 
Carter officiated.

Mr. Brooks was born, June 25, 1933 in Schley County, GA.  He was the son of 
the late Richard C. Brooks, Sr. and Grace Rowland Brooks.  He was a member of 
the Ellaville United Methodist Church in Ellaville, GA.  Mr. Brooks was 
preceded in death by a brother, Richard C. Brooks, Jr. in August 2000.

Survivors include two nieces, Charla Fraser of St. Simons Island, GA and 
Regena Lane of Townsend, GA and one nephew, David Purser of Midway, GA.

Watson-Giddens Funeral Home had charge of local arrangements.
