Mr. Sam Brooks Died Friday

From Schley County News

Mr. Samuel Edward Brooks, one of the wealthiest men of Schley County, died at
his home two miles north of Murray’s Cross Roads Friday night at 9:30 o’clock.

Mr. Brooks was 61 years old and had amassed a small size fortune consisting of
several thousand dollars in money, 2,000 acres of land, livestock and farm
implements.  He was born in Schley County and lived in this county nearly all
his life.  When twenty-one years old he married Miss Virginia Wallace of Taylor
County who died about ten years ago.

After his first wife’s death he married Mandy Kilcrease who survives him.
