REPORT ON MEMOIRS
Mrs. Martha Burton was born Oct. 25, 1821 in Crawford County.  Converted at 
Harris county camp meeting in 1840 under the ministry of Rev. T. Sanford, was 
married in Talbot county to Robert Burton Dec. 13, 1842 by Rev. Sanford; Died 
in Schley county May 15, 1894.
Friend after friend departs,
   Who has not lost a friend?
There in no union here of hearts
   That finds not here an end.
Were this frail world our final rest
   Living of dying none were blest.
