S.M. CALLIER, 70, PASSES IN ALABAMA
Ellaville relatives and friends were saddened this week by the death Sunday 
night of Mr. S.M. Callier, 70, a former local citizen, at his home in 
Russellville, Ala.  The body was brought to Thomaston for funeral services and 
burial Wednesday morning.  Mr. Callier married Miss Nelle Davis of Americus.  
He was well-known here from frequent visits, and to many who knew him when he 
resided here during the 90's.  Survivors include his widow, a son, S.M. 
Callier, Jr., Roselle, N.J.; two daughters, Mrs. George L. Cleere, Montgomery, 
and Miss Betty Callier, Russelville; one sister, Mrs. E.W. Strange, of 
Ellaville.
