FUNERAL HELD FOR J.E. COX
Funeral services were held at Butler Tuesday morning for Elder J.E. Cox, 64 
year-old Primitive Baptist minister and carpenter, whose body was found last 
Thursday on a hillside near Ellajay, Ga.  Officers investigating the case held 
suspicions he had been murdered, but a widespread probe had failed yesterday 
to reveal further information.  The car in which the Butler man was traveling 
was missing when his body was found.  He had left Butler about a week before 
his death was discovered.  Mr. Cox resided in Ellaville for several years, and 
had many friends here.  Elder Hassell McCorkle of Ellaville officiated at the 
funeral.
