Clegg --- On Monday last, the 19th inst., Mr. C.D. Clegg, a former citizen of Schley County, departed this life at the residence of his son-in-law, Mr. McBride, Macon County of a congestive chill. He lived to the ripe old age of 84, raised a large family of children, among them are P.C., V.A., and T.B. Clegg. He was a good honest man, well known through out this section, and numbered his friends by the score. His aged companion preceeded him to the grave several years ago. He leaves a number of grown sons and daughters, together with several grand and great-grandchildren, all of whom have the sympathy of the ENTERPRISE and the community. Additional Comments: Son-in-law refers to Mr. James McBride of Oglethorpe in Macon, Co., Ga.
