J.A. DANIEL DIES SUDDENLY
John Aubrey Damiel, 58, died unexpectedly Sunday about 2:45 on the porch of 
his home in Shiloh community.  Funeral services for the lifelong farmer and 
community leader were held at Shiloh Baptist church Monday afternoon with the 
Rev. M.F. Reeves, assisted by the Rev. M.B. Brown, officiating.  Survivors 
include his widow, Mrs. J.A.. Daniel, two daughters; Mrs. S.Q. Van Agnew, of 
Americus; and Mrs. J.W. Pilcher, of Shiloh community; one son, J.A. Daniel, 
Jr., of Shiloh community; two sisters, Mrs. W.C. Jordan, of Shiloh and Miss 
Lillie Mae Daniel, of Shiloh; 2 brothers, Emmett Daniel, of Americus and Frank 
Daniel, of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.  Pallbearers were 
Carlysle Buchanan, J.C. Sellers, H.A. Battle, Childers Sheppard, S.R. Heys and 
Wallace Cheek.
