VIVIAN RAINEY DARBY Mrs. Vivian Rainey Darby, 87, of Mt. Olive Street, Cusseta, died Tuesday, May 27, 1997 in Muscogee Manor in Columbus. Funeral services were held Friday, May 30, 1997 from Cusseta First Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Hawkins officiating. Interment was in Brundidge City Cemetery in Brundidge, Ala. with Rev. Zedoc Baxter officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Henry Harp, III; Walter Rhett Harp, Russell Darby, Milford Burkhalter, Mack Scott and George Gilmore. Mrs. darby was born September 2, 1909 in Pike County, Ala., the daughter of the late benjamine F. and Annie Lou Johnson Rainey. She had lived in Cusseta since the death of her husband, Walter Rhett Darby, 18 years ago. She was a member of Cusseta First Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, William Preston Darby of Enid, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. JoAnn Donaldson of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Mrs. Annele Harp of Cusseta; and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista was in charge of arrangements.
