DEATH CLAIMS W.S. EDGE, 75
Father of Schley County Woman Dies in Americus
Funeral services were conducted from Sumter County Primitive Baptist church 
last Saturday for Mr. William S. Edge, 75, who died Friday of pneumonia at an 
Americus hospital.

Mr. Edge was the father of Mrs. S.M. Etheridge of the Concord community.

A native of Macon county, Mr. Edge spent most of his life in Americus.  he 
often visited in Ellavilleand Schley county and had many friends here.

Surviving besides Mrs. Etheridge, are two sons, Georgr M. Edge of Los Angeles, 
Cal. and D.M. Edge of Macon; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Burial was in the Sumter City cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Julian Suggs, James Law, J.T. Murray, Marion Wall, 
J.W. Holland and Ron Busby.  Honorary pallbearers were Cliff Pantone, Cecil 
Howard, S.A. Manning, John Wall, D.R. Murray, George Wiggins, J.H. Schumake 
and G.R. Roach.
