40 YEARS AGO (1901)
Luther English, little son of Mr. and Mrs. Mack English, was smothered to 
death while playing in a pile of cotton-seed at his home.  Digging a deep hole 
in the seed in which to hide, Luther was trapped when walls of the excavation 
collapsed.
