BEN GREENE Andrew Chapel neighborhood, as well as our whole county, was thrown into a state of deepest sorrow when it was learned that the angel, death, had entered the home of Mr. B.F. Greene and called therefrom the sweet spirit of his beloved wife, Mrs. Tommie Stewart Greene. For several years she had suffered from a slight heart effection, yet none felt that her condition was of so serious a nature. She became suddenly and violently ill Friday night about twelve o'clock, the doctor was summoned, but before he reached the home death had claimed her as its own. We have known this good woman all of her life, and we feel that nothing we could say would enrich her many noble virtues, or cause others to more fully appreciate her Christian character. Her virtues were lived and known by those about her, demonstrated hourly by deeds of love and human sympathy, rather than by loud professions. Mrs. Greene was a daughter of the late Rev. W,. Stewart, who gave his whole life as a Methodist minister to the cause of Christ. At an early age she united with the Methodist church, to which institution she proved faithful to the end. The funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church here Sunday morning at 9 o'clock.
