Grimmett, 49, who died Monday at the Oteen, N.C. hospital, following a long illness, was brought to Ellaville Wednesday for interment in the local cemetery. The Rev. J.E. Dupree, pastor of the Ellaville Baptist church, was in charge of the service here. Mr. Grimmett, whose home was Jacksonville Beach, Fla., was a Spanish-American war veteran and military funeral services were held at Oteen. Surviving are his wife, who was Miss Anna Mae McCrory, daughter of Judge and Mrs. W.H. McCrory, deceased, former prominent citizens of Ellaville and a niece of the late Col. Charles R. McCrory of Ellaville; also one daughter, Dorothy, besides a number of other relatives.
