Ralph Murray Grimsley
ELLAVILLE, GA—Mr. Ralph Murray Grimsley, age 72 of Ellaville, GA died, Sunday, 
June 25, 2017 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held at 
10:00 AM Saturday, July 1, 2017 in the Chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home. 
Burial will follow in the Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Scott 
Brenton will officiate.
     Mr. Grimsley was born October 3, 1944 in Schley County, GA the son of the 
late Joseph Thomas Grimsley and Susie Odom Grimsley.  He had worked with 
Caravelle Boats as a manager of quality control.  Mr. Grimsley loved to 
socialize with family and friends, especially talking to his grandchildren on 
the phone.  He also enjoyed his dog Rex and going fishing. Mr. Grimsley was a 
member of Concord United Methodist Church.
     Survivors include his wife, Ann Grimsley of Ellaville; son, Allen Grimsley 
and wife Desiree of Americus, GA; daughter, Tonya Vickers and husband Neal of 
Statesboro, GA; and four grandchildren, Ryan Vickers, Brody Vickers, Jackson 
McSweeney and Claire Vickers.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Grimsley was 
preceded in death by a sister, Reba Sue Grimsley.
     Pallbearers will be Ryan Vickers, Brody Vickers, Jackson McSweeney, Cecil 
Grimsley, Wiley Benford and Clyde Grimsley.  Visitation will be held at Watson-
Giddens Funeral Home Friday, June 30, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
