                 LULA  SAMANTHA  HAMMONDS
  Mrs. Lula Samantha Hammonds, 85, of Thomaston  died Friday,
September 7, 1984, at Clearview Nursing Home.
  Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Sept. 8, in the
chapel of Coggins Funeral Home with Dr. Al Simmons officiating.
Coggins Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.  Burial
followed in Southview Cemetery.
  A 50-year resident of Upson County, Mrs. Hammonds was a retired
employee of B. F. Goodrich Co.
  She is survived by three grandchildren, Mr. Johnny Hammonds,
Mrs. Mary Jo Minyard and Mrs. Shirley Barfield all of Thomaston.
Four great-grandchildfren also survive.

Additional Comments:
Lula Samantha Hammonds was born  22 August 1900,  died  07 September 1984.
She is the daughter of William T. Hammonds and Emma Alcey Hill Hammonds.
