R. E. HILL, 72, DIES FRIDAY Mrs. R.E. Hill, 72, prominent and beloved Ellaville woman, died at her home here shortly after noon last Friday afternoon after a long illness. Funeral services were conducted from the residence Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock with the Rev. Hugh Dozier and the Rev. Roy J. Bond officiating. Burial was in Ellaville cemetery. Born in Taylor county, she was Miss Viola Turner, the daughter of Aretus and Martha Joyner Turner. Fifty-two years ago she was married to Mr. Robert E. Hill and came to Schley county to make her home. Mr. Hill died June 20, 1937. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church at Butler. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Paul Coffin, Ellaville; two sons, O.C. and M.C. Hill, both of Ellaville; one granddaughter, Jane Hill, of Ellaville; two grandsons, Sgt Robert Byron Hill, U.S. Army, and Robert Hill, Ellaville. Pallbearers were C.C. Williamson, B.E. Pelham, E.C. Rigsby, S.T. Barnes, John R. Wall, T.H. Stephens and W.L. Hayes.
