Graveside services are planned for Tuesday, August 11, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ellaville Cemetery with the Rev. Brooks Partain officiating. Mrs. Holloway, a Doerun GA native, had lived in Schley County for the past 60 years. She was born May 21, 1919, and was the daughter of the Rev. Walter Grady Pilcher and Mae Nelson Pilcher. She was a former telephone operator in Ellaville many years ago and has assisted her late husband, James Edward "Red" Holloway in buying and selling pecans. She was a graduate of Andrew College at Cuthbert, a former member of the Ellaville American Legion Auxiliary and was a member of Ellaville United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mickey and Stephanie Holloway of Rt 2, Ellaville, two grandchildren, Mrs. Gina Holloway Anthony and Scott Holloway, both of Ellaville, one niece and several nephews. Visitation will be Monday, August 10 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Those asked to serve as pallbearers are Bobby Tondee, Jimmy Tondee, Donald Tondee, Dickey Tondee, Frank Pilcher, and Harry W. Hite. Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville has charge of the services.
