DEATH OF A GOOD NEGRO
George Hudson, one of Ellaville's respected and trusted Negroes, died at his 
home here Wednesday, his death coming as the result of a mule run-a-way 
several weeks ago, when George was thrown from the wagon and his skull 
fractured.  George was regarded by all as an honorable citizen.  He always 
voted a Democratic ticket, and regarded his ballot as sacred as any man in the 
county.  Even when money was freely used on the Negro vote, George was not for 
sale.
