It has been brought to my attention by both Echo Burrell and Myrtis Halstead Akins that although correctly transcribed from the paper, this obituary has several errors. The following note from Myrtis Akins probably best sums up the errors. "The obituary dated February 7, 1941, was interesting as this was my maternal grandfather. There are some surprising errors, particularly the he had married Bernice Wall. Actually, his only wife (my grandmother)was Leola Bray. Also it stated he had 2 grandsons, but he also had several granddaughters by that time (Me, included!)" Myrtis Halstead Akins mamyrt@toolkitmail.com Additionally, Ernie Jones (http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00032.html#0007882) brought to my attention the following error within this obituary. "the Mrs. Lewis James listed in this obit is Mrs. Lewis (Vernice James) Jones."
