Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 23, at 11:00 a.m. in Ellaville Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Love and Rev. John Simmons officiating. Entombment will follow in the Ellaville Mausoleum. Mrs. Jordon, a Schley County native, was born March 16, 1914 and was the daughter of George Howell Dillard and Sophia Brown Dillard. She was a faithful member of Ellaville Baptist Church and it's Lydia Sunday School Class and the Joy Club, was retired from Manhattan Shirt Company in Americus after thirty years service and belonged to Manhattan's Fun Club. Her husband, William B. Jordon preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Glorias Jordon of Ellaville and Eugene and Nora Ann Jordon of Marieta; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Davis of Thomaston; six grandchildren, Natalie Jordon, Catherine Jordon and William Jordon, all of Ellaville, Blanford Jordon, Marieta, Bradford Jordon, Salisbury, N.C. and Dr. Briton Jordon of New Orleans, LA, two great- granddaughters, Elizabeth Jordon of Toccoa and Laura Jordon of Marieta. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville is in charge of arrangements.
